We have worked with non-government organizations, governments and health authorities from across Canada and internationally to create reports that bring research to action:
Better Science with Sex and Gender
This primer is intended to help researchers understand how sex and gender contribute to health and to suggest ways to incorporate this understanding into their research practices. Incorporating sex and gender into health research contributes to better science and to improving the lives of women and men, boys and girls.

Trauma Informed Practice Guide
The guide was created together with the BC Mental Health and Substance Use system. Its enduring relevance is a testament to the benefit of working collaboratively with health system planners, service providers, people with lived experience along with researchers when defining practice innovation.
This booklet describes how project participants from the three northern territories in Canada came together to research, discuss and plan the making of shifts in whole systems of service delivery to prevent and respond to homelessness among women in the north. It offers a powerful graphic of the vicious cycles of unresolved trauma, poverty, housing challenges and ineffective service responses that hold back women’s progress, and offers ideas for system changes that can break these vicious cycles.
