We have authored and edited a number of books which bring attention to the work of people who are advancing equity in research, practice and policy.

Gender Unchained: Notes from the Equity Frontier, 2017, takes a hard look at the many persisting gendered inequities in our modern world, and suggests that we need to rethink our approach to seeking solutions. All genders need to take on some leadership in creating new ways to solve problems, as all genders are affected by gender inequity in lots of different ways. In the doing, we consider how gender inequity is a moral, economic, legal and justice issue that affects our collective progress.

Transforming Addiction: gender, trauma, transdisciplinarity, 2015, advances addictions research and treatment by promoting transdisciplinary approaches, the integration of sex and gender, and recognition of issues of trauma and mental health. A call to action, the book represents some of the most provocative ways of thinking about addiction research, treatment, and policy in the contemporary era.

Making It Better, 2014,  invites us to rethink conventional approaches to health promotion and to strive for transformative initiatives and policies, that improve health and gender equity at the same time.

Becoming Trauma Informed, 2012, describes and advocates for trauma-informed practice at the individual, organizational and systemic levels. A wide range of authors share how they have integrated trauma awareness into different treatment and social service environments.
